Evansville Crash

Around 2:30 Monday afternoon a woman drove a red Chevy Blazer into a power line at the intersection of County Road 5 and Gran Street in Evansville, Minn. 

The woman is 30-year-old Shannon Maria Porter, who then fled from the scene, according to the Douglas County Sheriff.

Douglas County Sheriff's Office says they don't know what caused the accident; however, they did find Porter sometime later after the incident happened.

One pole was knocked over, and a second pole was damaged.  One resident lost power after the accident, and Otter Tail Power Company was at the scene and were able to restore power around 5 o'clock that night.

Authorities say they arrested Porter due to other outstanding warrants Porter had against her.  Authorities also tell us that charges are pending in this case.
