Farmfest Begins Tuesday

The 28^th annual Farmfest, Minnesota’s premier agriculture event, will take place this Tuesday August 4 through Thursday August 6 at the historic Gilfillan Estate in Redwood County.

Farmfest consists of educational forums highlighting topics relevant to the issues that face today’s farmers as well as programs and entertainment that are family friendly. The event brings in over 500 local and leading companies in the farming industry.

According to a Press Release, attendees will find new additions to Farmfest including a Women’s Breakfast to network and socialize with fellow women in agriculture, held at the Jackpot Junction in the Prairie Winds Room on Thursday at 9 a.m. During this event there will be a sit-down breakfast featuring speakers and a raffle for a chance to win prizes.

Farmfest will be full of entertainment with FarmersOnly.com Live on Stage taking place Tuesday at 3 p.m. and the Second Annual Farmfest Auctioneering Competition being held on Wednesday at 3 p.m. Both events take place on the main forum stage and will give attendees the opportunity to participate. Specialty Pavilions are also a returning favorite featuring AgriPreneurship, Home & Garden and Outdoor Sports & Conservation Pavilions. division of Cygnus Business Media, hosting over 580 local and leading exhibitors in the farming industry on more than 1.3 million square feet of land.

Hours for Farmfest are Tuesday and Wednesday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $8 per person and free for those 18 and under. 

Farmfest is the largest farm show in Minnesota with over 35,000 attendees each year.
