Second Annual "Model T Tour"

The second annual "Glacial Ridge Model T Tour" will be held this Friday, September 4, 5 and 6, 2009.

Organizers anticipate at least 30 Model Ts will participate in the event, which will leave from Sauk Centre at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 4.

Here is the schedule on where the Model Ts will be stopping:

Friday: The Model Ts will then travel the Glacial Ridge Trail through Lake Carlos State Park about 3:00 PM; stop at Carlos Creek Winery around 4:00 PM; drive through Alexandria from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, ending at the Holiday Inn in Alexandria at approximately 7:00 PM on Friday.

Saturday: The entourage will leave the Alexandria Holiday Inn at 9:00 AM; stop at the VFW in Starbuck for brunch about 10:00 AM; travel trough Glacial Lakes, Monson Lake and Sibley State Parks; and arrive at the Holiday Inn in Willmar at approximately 5:00 PM.

Sunday: The Tour will be back on the Trail, leaving Willmar at approximately 9:00 AM and traveling through Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center; stopping at Terrace Mill at around 11:30 AM; stopping for lunch in Glenwood at the Lakeside Ballroom at 1:00 PM; and arriving back at Sauk Centre at approximately 3:00 PM.

The public will have an opportunity to view these beautifully restored vehicles at Sauk Centre on Friday morning and Sunday afternoon, at Carlos Creek Winery on Friday afternoon, at the Alexandria Holiday Inn on Friday evening and Saturday morning before they leave at 9:00 AM, at the Willmar Holiday Inn on Saturday evening and in communities on the tour route.
