Andrew Preston

Job title: Coordinator Of Various Jobs

Andrew has moved and lived in a lot of places throughout his life, including Maine, several towns and cities in South Dakota, as well as some short stays in Montana. Andrew attended the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, SD, he majored in Media Studies with a Multi-Media Production emphasis and was heavily involved with the campus radio station. After college he worked at a camp near Nisswa for the summer. After finishing up at the camp Andrew was hired at KSAX Eyewitness News for the position of Production Assistant/Master Control and moved to Alexandria in the fall of 2002.

While at work he stays busy writing, shooting, editing or putting together graphics for news and event promos. Also this website that you are currently viewing has been a lot to learn for both Andrew and Aaron as they attempted to improve the look and content of the KSAX.com website. They hope you like it.

Other responsibilities include operating the master control board for news broadcasts when needed as well as directing the news. From time to time he might shoot a news story as well. Over time his responsibilities have changed, but Andrew has used his flexible knowledge to learn new areas of his job.

Outside of work Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife Bethany enjoying activities with her and spending time with their new baby Levi. Activities he enjoys in the summer include fishing, bicycling, disc golf, going to car shows, reading about cars, camping, canoeing, hiking, listening to music and Minnesota Twins games on the radio. In the winter he hopes for an abundance of snow and ice for cross-country skiing, ice fishing, sledding and of course the many challenges of driving.

Some of his favorite foods include spinach and seafood, especially lobster. For snacks Andrew turns to Dakota Style Potato Chips made in Clark, SD, where he lived at one time; his favorite flavor is honey mustard, with jalapeño following close behind.
