Marijuana Growing Along Roadside in Benton County

Investigators from the Central MN Drug and Gang Task Force were notified by a concerned citizen that marijuana was growing along a roadside in Benton County.

According to authorities the citizen observed individuals stopping along the roadside and harvesting the tops of the marijuana plants.

Investigators from the Central MN Drug and Gang Task Force responded to the area and located evidence that plants had been harvested. 

Authorities say approximately 10,500 plants were eradicated from a 1/2 mile area along the roadside.

The Benton County Detectives, Benton County Reserve Officers and the Benton County Highway Department also assisted in the case.
