Man Loses Control of Fishing Boat, Hits Propeller and Only Suffers Cuts on his Back

A St. Joseph man lost control of his boat motor, was thrown from his fishing boat and then hit the propeller of his boat but is said to be doing just fine.

According to Stearns County, it happened on Eden Lake just 2 miles northeast of Eden Valley on Sunday.

47-year-old Dave Loso of St. Joseph was operating his 16 foot fishing boat by himself.

According to authorities somehow Loso lost control of the motor, was then thrown out of the boat without a life jacket and then struck by the propeller.

Loso was then brought to shore by another boater where he was treated at the scene for cuts on his back.

Upon arrival, Eden Valley Rescue found Loso's boat doing circles in the middle of the lake.

Rescue workers warned other boaters to stay away until it finally ran out of gas.

Workers were then able to tow the boat to shore.
