Cristi Jessee

Cristi Jessee joined the KSAX team as news director in August, 2009.  Cristi returns to Minnesota from California’s capital, Sacramento, where she worked as a multimedia journalist at KXTV.  Don’t be surprised if you see her filing reports every now and then right here at KSAX.

Although Cristi has lived in just about every corner of the country, she has always called the Midwest home.   She grew up in Naperville, IL, one of Chicago’s southwest suburbs.  Cristi attended the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities campus, and graduated from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota. She began her news career while in college, as a production assistant at KARE-TV in Minneapolis.

Fresh out of college, Cristi landed a reporter/photographer job at WDAZ-TV in Grand Forks, ND.  After covering blizzards in 50-below-zero wind chills, Cristi moved south to warmer weather, joining KTHV-TV in Little Rock, AR, where she also worked as a reporter and photographer.

Following Little Rock, Cristi's career took a turn, where she worked the red carpet for KCBS-TV in Los Angeles. She field produced for legendary Los Angeles TV film critic David Sheehan.  Cristi has interviewed countless Hollywood celebrities including, Russell Crowe, Kevin Spacey, Matt Damon, Drew Barrymore and Jennifer Aniston.

 In her free time, Cristi enjoys lifting weights and running. She also enjoys independent films and music. She stays busy as a single mom, chasing around her daughter and two sons. Cristi's parents live in Lake George, Minnesota, and she’s excited to be back home in Minnesota.
