Seven Agencies Respond to Fatal Head-on Collision Near Minnewaska Area High School

glenwoodGLENWOOD, MN -A 77-year-old Morris woman has been killed and a 16-year-old Glenwood male has been airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital following a head-on collision that happened just before 8 Wednesday morning on state highway 28 near Minnewaska Area High School.

Minnesota State Patrol released the identity of the woman who died in the crash Wednesday afternoon.  They confirmed it was Margaret Miller of Morris.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, officers were still on scene just before 10 a.m., trying to piece together what may have happened.

Mn State Patrol confirmed that two vehicles had collided head on, and both victims had been extricated from their vehicles.   The 77-year-old female driver of a Dodge Stratus died at the Glenwood Hospital.  A 16-year old male, who authorities said was driving a 1987 Porsche, was taken by ambulance to Glenwood Hospital and then flown by helicopter to St. Cloud Hospital. Minnesota State Patrol did not yet have a condition on the teen. 

Authorities are not yet releasing the identities of the victims involved. 

The Pope County Sheriff's Office also responded to the call along with Glenwood Police, Starbuck Police, and Glenwood Fire.
