Victim ID Released in Beltrami County Accidental Shooting

FOURTOWN, Minn. - Beltrami County Sheriffs are investigating an accidental shooting that happened just north of Fourtown that sent one to the hospital Thursday.

 

Police say 23-year-old Thomas Patrick Peterson of Anoka was struck by shotgun pellets during an apparent hunting incident when 59-year-old Gregory Robert Kolinski of Andover fired his shotgun at a flushed grouse in a thicket.

 

The victim was transported to the hospital in Warroad, transferred to a Bemidji hospital where he was stabilized and flown to the U of M Hospital in Minneapolis by North Air Ambulance.

 

The victim’s condition is stable at this time.
