Bloodmobiles Coming to Your Area

Alexandria, MN - The need for blood is increasing everyday, and the American Red Cross Bloodmobiles were in Alexandria Friday collecting those much needed donations.

According to the American Red Cross "O" negative blood donations are urgently needed now more than ever.

The American Red Cross says 38% of the US population is eligible to give blood. 

On Friday from 10:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alexandria the bloodmobiles were in town and the numbers were up as appointments were booked all day.

"There is one main reason why I give blood," Heather Ronnei, a resident in Alexandria tells us. "I choose to give blood because there are a lot of less fortunate people in the world.  This is one thing I can do to give back."
