According to the State Patrol, 18-year-old Emerald Foss was killed in the crash. It happened on Highway 169 in Coleraine around 3:30 p.m. when the Taurus she was riding in, driven by 18-year-old Hailey Salo of Grand Rapids, pulled out in front of the schoolbus. 16-year-old Paige Anderson of Bovey was also riding in the Taurus. She and Salo were last listed in critical condition. 28-year-old Jay Poshak of Ely was driving the schoolbus and received minor injuries. None of the football players or coaches were injured in the crash.
