Beltrami County Sheriff's got the call at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday and when they arrived on scene, they found 27-year-old Matthew Albert shot in the head. Hanks made the 911 call and when police arrived Albert was alive but unconscious. He later died at North Memorial Hospital in Minneapolis. According to Beltrami County Sheriff Phil Hodapp the gun that killed Albert was not initially found, but Hanks eventually led officers to it. Hanks is being held in the Beltrami County Jail while the county attorney considers murder charges. Hanks and Albert lived together with their four children. A representative from the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office would not say who is now caring for the couple's children, or where the children were at the time of the shooting.
