Fallen Minnesota Soldier Laid to Rest

Little Falls, Minn. - Members of the Patriot Guard lined the streets with flags while others led the funeral procession of National Guard Specialist George Cauley Tuesday.

The 24-year-old was killed by insurgents with homemade bombs in Afghanistan on October 10, 2009.  He was laid to rest Tuesday at Camp Ripley.

Outside Memorial Chapel friends, family and fellow service men and women gathered to honor the life and service of Specialist Cauley. There was a wave of silence as the procession drove through the gates of Camp Ripley and up to the church and as soldiers carried the casket inside followed by Cauley's family.

Cauley was buried at Veteran's Cemetary at Camp Ripley.
