Forest Lake High School Locked Down Briefly
FOREST LAKE, Minn. (AP) - Two schools in Forest Lake were locked down briefly Friday morning after a report of a suspicious person inside the high school.
Forest Lake High School and neighboring Century Junior High School were locked down for just over an hour. The schools were given the all clear about 8:20 a.m.
District spokesman Ross Bennett says the security measure was prompted after a staff member at Century Junior High saw a suspicious person enter that school. As the staffer was trying to identify that individual, the person left and went toward the high school.
It's not clear if the person actually entered the high school. But both schools went into lockdown as police investigated.
