Updated at: 11/06/2009 10:32 PM | KSAX.com Eden Valley-Watkins Record Remains Untarnished as they Breeze by Yellow Medicine East to Win the Section 6A Finals.10-0... that's the record the Eden Valley-Watkins Eagles came into the section 6A finals on Nov. 6. And I spoke with Yellow Medicine East head coach Mike Gaffaney about how you approach a team that has yet to lose. "They will spread us out. They will look to run the football right at us. We will try and shut that down then they will start hitting the perimeter. Our goal is to run the football and keep their offense off the field tonight and we want to have good team defense." From the first snap you could see why the Eagles are undefeated. They have a very impressive offense coupled with a strong defense. Throughout the game they attacked on both the ground and in the air. Senior running back Ryan Mccan had a great night finding the gaps in the line effortlessly for big gains. Eagles Quarterback Tyler Geislinger also had an impressive outing having to go to his arm on multiple occasions and found great success as well as the back of the endzone. The Sting were able to get some offense going but couldn't put together a consistent offensive threat against the Eagle defense which ended up hurting them on the scoreboard. The Eagles end up winning 36-7 and are heading to the state tournament where they will be taking on Pierz on November 13. Written for the web by: Tony Seeman
