Icy Road Conditions Cause Head-On Crash in Cass Co.
Cass County, Minn - Icy road conditions caused a head-on crash east of Madden's Resort in Cass Co. around 8:00 Monday morning, according to the State Patrol.
The head-on crash occurred on County Road 77 just East of Madden's Resort.
According to authorities, Norma Nelson, 58, of Brainerd lost control of her vehicle, which was heading westbound on CR 77, northwest of Brainerd.
The other driver involved in the crash, Larry Zarling, 57, of Brainerd was heading eastbound on CR 77.
Nelson lost control of her vehicle on black ice, then crossed the center line and hit Zarling's vehicle head-on.
Both Nelson and Zarling suffered non-life threatening injuries.
