Benefit Held For Family of Former Stillwater Police Officer

St. Paul and Stillwater Police Departments held a benefit for the family of former Stillwater Police Officer Brienne Heroux Sunday.

Heroux died just a few weeks after giving birth to her son, Leland in August. She died of HELLP Syndrome, a rare illness that affects pregnant women.

Her husand, Andy Heroux, is also a police officer. He works for the St. Paul Police Department.

St. Paul Police say money raised will help pay for the baby's medical expenses.  Leland was born with part of his bladder outside his body. 

The benefit at O'Gara's Bar & Grill in St. Paul included family-friendly activities, live music, a silent auction and food.
