Brock Lesnar Home in Alexandria Recovering from Surgery

ALEXANDRIA, MINN. - After having surgery for a bacterial infection in his intestinal track UFC Champion Brock Lesnar is recovering at his Alexandria, Minn. home Tuesday, according to Lesnar's close friend and chiropractor Dr. Larry Novotny. "Brock was released from the hospital today and he is resting at home in Alexandria," said Novotny.
According to Novotny, Lesnar spent "11 days in the hospital where he underwent several tests and a minor surgery."
UFC President Dana White also confirmed from his Twitter account around 1 p.m. Tuesday that Lesnar had made it through surgery, and was recovering.
"Leaving bismarck ND right now. Brock had minor surgery and is feeling better. Not 100% sure he is out of the woods but feeling better," said White via Twitter.
Novotny would not rule out the possibility of further surgery. "The main thing is for him to begin healing and any further decisions will be based on that healing," said Novotny.
Novotny has been in close contact with Lesnar throughout his illness and says the infection may "jeopardize" Lesnar's career.
Although a formal statement from Lesnar has not been released, Lesnar did deliver a message through Novotny. "He wants people to know that he is getting better and contrary to some rumors that he had died, he is on the mend."
