Undefeated New London-Spicer is one of the teams to beat as they dug deep and came out with three unanswered touchdowns after being tied at half to beat Minneapolis North 28-8 in game one. "The second half players really came out focused and ready to go" head coach Dan Essler said. "They really wanted to win the game and the focus at half time was how bad do you want it, and they really showed that they wanted it especially in the third quarter." Up next the Wildcats will have to face another team without a scratch on their record. Kasson-Mantorville is coming off of a big 46-14 win over Waseca in their first game. But NLS seems confident coming into the contest, and they say the KoMets wont be ready for their style of play. "Were going to be more physical then they are because they're not used to smash mouth football" senior John Nething said. "Offensively, were gonna try and run the ball to the outside a little bit" senior Luke Peterson explains. "We think were faster than them and they got some big guys in the middle. Defensively, they run that spread, so were working on getting our coverage right, watching their quarterback because we know he's a pretty good passer and their half backs got some pretty good speed." Kickoff for New London-Spicer vs. Kasson-Mantorville is on Nov. 21 at 3:15 pm at the dome. Written for the web by: Tony Seeman
