Updated at: 11/25/2009 3:17 PM | KSAX.com Local Clinics Expand H1N1 Vaccine Target GroupsWILLMAR, MINN. - The Minnesota Department of Health has confirmed six more H1N1 deaths in the state of Minnesota. That raises the number to a total of 32 deaths and clinics in your area continue to vaccinate target groups. Aaffiliated Community Medical Centers, ACMC, is a multi-specialty health network of 11 medical clinics in West Central and Southwest Minnesota with over 150 physicians and mid-level providers in 28 specialty areas. ACMC is now offering expanded H1N1 vaccine appointments at all ACMC clinic locations for the following groups of people: - Anyone ages 6 months through 24 years - Adults ages 25 through 64 with chronic medical conditions. - All pregnant women - Children and adults who live with or provide care for infants younger than 6 months of age. - Healthcare and Emergency Medical Services personnel who have direct contact with patients or infectious material. People who fit any of these criteria can contact Affiliated Community Medical Center, Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, to schedule an appointment. Seasonal vaccine is also available for those who have not yet received the seasonal influenza vaccine. (Please note, all ACMC clinics will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 26th.)
