Witnesses saw the man pull up next to Spring Lake in Spring Lake Park Sunday afternoon, open the door and shoot a shotgun twice in the direction of a fountain. The man then walked into the lake, retrieved a goose and drove away. Another goose and a duck were left dead at the scene. No people were hurt. Police Lt. Carl Bock tells The Free Press of Mankato that the hunter apparently intended to kill ducks and geese. The man was driving a dark green subcompact car with black side mirrors and tire rims. --- Information from: The Free Press, http://www.mankatofreepress.com (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press.
