You may remember seeing her face on the local news last year… A former Anchor/Reporter, Heidi Willemssen is back at KSAX-TV – this time behind the scenes.  She recently started a video production company in the cities and her love for Alexandria brought her back to the area to help produce, shoot and edit local television commercials for KSAX.   She loves finding unique and creative ways to tell stories through video and is thrilled to be back in Alex!

Along with her video business, Heidi spent some time doing public relations and video production for the advertising industry in Minneapolis.  Before working at KSAX-TV, Heidi lived and worked at the NBC station in Boston during one of the city’s most memorable periods. When the Red Sox “Reversed the Curse”, the New England Patriots secured their third championship and John Kerry accepted the Democratic nomination for president, Heidi was part of the round-the-clock coverage of all three historic events.

Heidi graduated with a degree in Mass Communications at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.  She was also a four-year Division One collegiate athlete on the Redhawk’s Swimming and Diving team.  When she is not with her family and friends or editing videos, you can usually find her listening to music, curled up with a movie, rollerblading, running, golfing, boating, fishing or doing basically anything fun and exciting!
