Protestors promised to bring with them lawsuits Tuesday over the way they were treated during the Republican National Convention in St. Paul in September.
A number of people marched at the state Capitol and claimed they came to St. Paul to have their voices heard, only to be met with tear gas, rubber bullets, and unlawful arrests.
"There was a climate of fear and intimidation that was created, which actually prevented a lot of people from coming out and voicing their cents during the RNC," said protestor Rick Kelley.
An independent review of the police response during the convention found overall, officers showed restraint, but said police used too much pepper spray and did not anticipate well enough the protestors violent response.
