A 17-year-old Fergus Falls girl is now safely home after being kidnapped at gun point by her stepfather.
Authorities say 17-year-old Amy Henning met her stepbrother at the Westridge Mall to see a movie on Saturday night when Henning's stepfather, 46-year-old David Sabby confronted them with a hand gun.
Sabby bound the stepbrother with duct tape, put a gag in his mouth and placed him in a car in the parking lot.
Sabby then left the mall with Henning, who has a restraining order against him.
Henning's stepbrother freed himself from the restraints and called police and an Amber Alert was immediately issued.
Hours later, Henning was able to drive the truck she was kidnapped in to a gas station and called 911.
Sabby, who ran for Elbow Lake City Council, is being held in Ottertail County Jail on charges of felony kidnapping, felony possession of a firearm and second degree assault.
