ASKOV, Minn. (AP) - Authorities are searching for two men who robbed a bank in east-central Minnesota.
Pine County authorities say the First State Bank of the North in Askov was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday.
It happened after one man asked to open a new account and sat down to complete paperwork. Another man entered the bank, brandishing a semiautomatic weapon and saying, "This is a robbery, give me the money."
The second man placed a black duffel bag on the counter. The robbers took an undisclosed amount of money.
Both suspects are white men, about 25 to 30 years old, weighing 175 to 200 pounds each. One man has short dark hair, the other has short red hair, possibly dyed. They were driving a 2005 or newer burgundy four-door Ford truck with chrome step bars, oversized tires and a confederate license plate.
Askov is about 50 miles southwest of Duluth.
