A three-year-old boy is dead after police say he was struck and killed by a driver on Saturday in Crow Wing County.
Jack Larson, 3, of Buffalo, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say he was crossing County Road 3 in Merrifield when a vehicle, driven by Sherman Frederick, 66, struck him.
According to witnesses, several children were crossing the road and all vehicles were stopped at the intersection when Frederick struck Larson shortly before 3 p.m.
Frederick was arrested and booked into the Crow Wing County Jail on pending charges of criminal vehicular homicide.
