Oxygenated Fuels
Boat owners getting back on the water may be in for a surprise, due to the way they stored their water craft over the winter.
Keep an eye on your carburetors because, a large influx in boat repair business is happening this year, because of a build up from oxygenated fuels.
These fuels include ethanol and biodiesel and intended to reduce carbon emission.
If a boat is left idle for more than a month with an oxygenated fuel such as E10 in the tank, the fuel breaks down faster, separates and can plug up parts of the engine.
The buildup can restrict gas flow and doesn't properly allow your engine to cool.
