Sunnybrook Stomp Results

People in one Central Minnesota City stomped their way into summer, literally.

People of all ages were able to lace up their sneakers over the weekend and participate in a 5k walk/run in Wadena.  The 5k began at 8:00 a.m. at Sunnybrook Park. 

The event is over but the results are in.

Neil Janson of Wadena was the 5k overall men winner while Hannah Toedter of Wadena won the women's division.  

The top finishers received prizes.  For all of the participants, healthy snacks were handed out and all were given a t-shirt.

"The 5k was a huge success," said Dana Pavek, who is the communications coordinator at Wadena-Deer Creek Public schools.  "We had a perfect summer morning for the event."
