The Todd County Sheriff's Office said just before 7:30 Tuesday night, they received a call that an infant had been stepped on by a horse at the Dan Miller residence on 165th Avenue in Eagle Bend. When the deputies arrived on the scene, the baby was unresponsive. The baby boy, Chrissie D. Miller died at the scene. Authorities said the infant had been in a child seat that was placed in a hand-pulled style cart near the entrance to the barn. Family members said they were doing chores near the barn. The horse had been tied up in the barn, but the baby was placed too close to the rear of the horse. Eagle Bend Fire and Rescue, Bertha Ambulance and Todd County Chaplain assisted at the scene.
