Wetzel says DVD players, camera's and power tools were all taken from four Morrison County businesses in late November. "On November 28 a Jennie-O Turkey store, Micheal's Trucking, Leading Edge Cabinets and Bowlus Feed store were broken into and various items were stolen" said Wetzel. Wetzel says the Sheriff's department had a lead in the investigation, so it delayed releasing the information to the public until that lead fell through. "We were investigating a few tips and we didn't want to jeopardize it so we didn't release any information. But when that tip didn't work out we decided to ask for the public's help," said Wetzel. Because the burglaries happened in the same area Wetzel believes it may have been the same burglar. "When you have something like this in such close proximity and it involves similar businesses it's very likely that this was done by the same person," said Wetzel. Wetzels says businesses are easy targets because no one is usually there at night, but there are things you can do to make your business more secure. "Businesses should make sure alarms are armed and that they don't leave expensive things inside overnight if they don't have to," said Wetzel.
