Forty-four-year-old Gregory Gubernot is charged in Eau Claire County with first-degree intentional homicide. He was taken into custody in Forest County. A criminal complaint says the 43-year-old victim, Theresa Still, wanted Gubernot to move out of their home, but he refused. It says Still told a co-worker at OakLeaf Medical Hospital that Gubernot had become "more and more violent and belligerent" with her. The Eau Claire Leader-Telegram reports investigators say Still was last seen at an Altoona bar Dec. 27 after she argued with Gubernot. Still's body was found in rural Adams County on Dec. 30. --- Information from: Leader-Telegram, http://www.leadertelegram.com/ (Copyright 2010 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
