Massive Snowfall Amounts a Double Edged Sword for Snowplow Drivers
"When it's prolonged snow like this we have to run the plows all day and then start all over in the morning. It's exhausting," Erickson said. But Erickson is not exactly knocking the snow storm."It's good for business, and our business needs the snowfall for survival in the winter," he said. However, Erickson said this type of snowfall is tough on his equipment. "It's been hard on the plows because of the ice. The snow is covering it up and we end up hitting it with the plow," Erickson said. Erickson also admitted that the continuos snowfall can be frustrating. "I like a nice two or three inches as long as it stops, but when it just keeps coming it can be exhausting," he said. Despite that exhaustion, Erickson said he and his employees will continue to help unfortunate victim of Mother Nature's winter wrath.
